Alumina Crucibles for Thermal Analysis (TGA / DSC)

Labmina supplies high-purity alumina crucibles and sample pans for thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and simultaneous thermal analysis (STA).

The range

Our LYT series covers micro-volume crucibles from 25µl to 0.8ml, in 99% recrystallised alumina, with and without covers. Alumina is the standard crucible material for TGA: it is chemically inert with most samples up to 1600°C and can be re-used.

Instrument compatibility

Our crucibles are dimensionally comparable to common thermal analysers from Netzsch, Mettler Toledo, PerkinElmer and TA Instruments. If you tell us your instrument model and the OEM part number you currently buy, we will confirm the matching crucible.

A lower-cost alternative to OEM consumables

Thermal analysis crucibles are consumables — you buy them repeatedly. Buying OEM-branded crucibles is convenient but expensive. Labmina crucibles are made to the same dimensions in the same 99% alumina, at a fraction of the cost per piece. For a high-throughput lab, the saving over a year is substantial.
